For the first home game of the playoffs, it felt fitting to run down by Progressive Field. Four hours before game time, the street vendors were setting up shop and the die-hard fans were waiting outside the parking lot where they try to snipe autographs as the players drive in.

It's pretty midge-y outside, might be a repeat of the legendary midge game today, although they're still clustered down by the lake.

Bugs aside, I'm watching the game prices to see if I can get a decent deal. Even the nosebleeds are up in the low $100 range, which is an improvement over the $200 they peaked at during the week. I don't think we'll get down to my price range — I'd pay about 60 bucks per seat to get in the park and 120 bucks for a really good seat.

As a backup plan, we'll hit up BrewDog down in the flats and hang out during the game. Cheaper than going to the game and better food, maybe not better beer as they've got Fat Head's at the park. If Noble Beast ever makes it to the park, I'll be in heaven at games.

Back to the run. I took it easy today and still ran a pretty good paced 5k when compared to my recent runs. I'm feeling the forward progress, I did not feel like I was on the verge of death like I did on my 4 miler in the heat on Thursday. Adding a little variety in the route helped as well, I think.

I have also started to lift weights again. I lapsed a couple of weeks before my wedding in August. My arm felt skinny this week, so I thought it would be beneficial to get back at it to, at the very least, make sure I don't lose a ton of muscle mass.
